Dr. Zainab obtained her MD from Sultan Qaboos University and completed a fellowship in Hematopathology through the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) in Sydney. With prior experience at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, Dr. Zainab currently serves as Director of Blood Banks in Oman, overseeing 12 regional centers. Lead strategic initiatives to enhance blood safety, including national NAT testing, donor registry integration, and immunohematology advancements. Dr. Zainab is involved in training, national policy development, and multiple MOH committees. An active member of AABB, ISBT, AATM, and RCPA, their interests include transfusion medicine, quality improvement, and education.
